This may cause\u00a0neck pain, however.&#8221;<\/p> <p>If snoring continues regardless of the sleep position,\u00a0obstructive sleep apnea\u00a0may be a cause. &#8220;See a doctor in this case,&#8221; Chokroverty says.<\/p> <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"091e9c5e80010900-2-3\">2. \u041f\u043e\u0445\u0443\u0434\u0435\u0442\u044c.<\/h2> <figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/health.clevelandclinic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/09\/Weightloss-1296684910-770x533-1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure> <p>Weight loss helps some people but not everyone. &#8220;Thin people snore, too,&#8221; Slaughter says.<\/p> <p>If you&#8217;ve gained weight and started snoring and did not snore before you gained weight, weight loss may help. &#8220;If you gain weight around your neck, it squeezes the internal diameter of the throat, making it more likely to collapse during sleep, triggering snoring,&#8221; Slaughter says.<\/p> <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"091e9c5e80010900-2-4\">3. \u0418\u0437\u0431\u0435\u0433\u0430\u0439\u0442\u0435 \u0430\u043b\u043a\u043e\u0433\u043e\u043b\u044f.<\/h2> <figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thumbs.dreamstime.com\/b\/vector-flat-stop-drinking-icon-alcohol-bottles-concept-whiskey-wine-martini-realistic-no-98763794.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure> <p>Alcohol and sedatives reduce the resting tone of the muscles in the back of your throat, making it more likely you&#8217;ll snore. &#8220;Drinking alcohol four to five hours before sleeping makes snoring worse,&#8221; Chokroverty says. &#8220;People who don&#8217;t normally snore will snore after drinking alcohol.&#8221;<\/p> <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"091e9c5e80010900-2-5\">4. \u041f\u0440\u0430\u043a\u0442\u0438\u043a\u0443\u0439\u0442\u0435 \u0445\u043e\u0440\u043e\u0448\u0443\u044e \u0433\u0438\u0433\u0438\u0435\u043d\u0443 \u0441\u043d\u0430.<\/h2> <p>Bad sleep habits (also known as poor sleep &#8220;hygiene&#8221;) can have an effect similar to that of drinking alcohol, Slaughter says. Working long hours without\u00a0enough sleep, for example, means when you finally hit the sack you&#8217;re overtired. &#8220;You sleep hard and deep, and the muscles become floppier, which creates snoring,&#8221; Slaughter says.<\/p> <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"091e9c5e80010900-2-6\">5. \u041e\u0442\u043a\u0440\u044b\u0442\u044c \u043d\u043e\u0441\u043e\u0432\u044b\u0435 \u043f\u0440\u043e\u0445\u043e\u0434\u044b.<\/h2> <p>If snoring starts in your nose, keeping nasal passages open may help.
