MILK<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.readersdigest.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/is-milk-good-for-you.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Milk is a rich source of tryptophan \u2013 an amino acid \u2013 which stimulates serotonin which helps you relax and induces sleep. It has a soporific effect on your body that helps you doze off easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Warm a glass of milk and add a tablespoon of honey in it. Have it half an hour before going to bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A glass of warm milk with honey and a dash of cinnamon also serves as a good sleep tonic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2 . POPPY SEEDS (Khus Khus)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/5.imimg.com\/data5\/ZK\/AZ\/EX\/SELLER-34643547\/poppy-seeds-khus-khus-500x500.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Good source of minerals, calcium, carbohydrates and B-complex vitamins, consuming close to 1 tsp of poppy seeds before going to bed can&nbsp;help you sleep better<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Make a thick paste of 1 tsp. poppy seeds, \u00bd tsp. coconut powder and a small amount of water. In a pan melt some ghee, add a pinch of cumin and turmeric powder. Remove immediately from heat. After a minute, mix that paste in it and add salt to taste.Have this mixture one hour before bedtime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3 . To this add a cup of hot milk, stir it and have it before bedtime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Mix a pinch of nutmeg powder with one tsp. of Indian gooseberry (Amla) juice and consume it three times a day. It is also\u00a0beneficial for indigestion\u00a0and depression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4 .
