Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties enhance protection against radiation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regular consumption of flaxseeds can help improve glycemic control in obesity with pre-diabetes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Functioning as an antidepressant, flaxseeds reduce hypertension, headache, fatigue, anxiety, and physical exhaustion associated with hypertension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>High mucilage concentration in flaxseeds makes them an excellent laxative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/eadn-wc03-6045197.nxedge.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Health-Benefits-of-Flax-Seed-and-Flax-Oil.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Research suggests that flaxseeds are effective in resisting the infestation of free radicals, harmful substances, salt, uric acids, and also reduce the risk of liver diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flaxseeds regulate cholesterol and fat metabolism, improving HDL (good cholesterol) and reducing LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/4.imimg.com\/data4\/SD\/JB\/MY-284183\/ground-flaxseed-500x500.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In Ayurveda, flaxseed is considered heavy, slimy, and hot in nature. Excessive consumption may vitiate Pitta and Kapha, and it&#8217;s not recommended in bleeding disorders, diseases of the eyes, and certain other health issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>There are two types of flaxseeds- brown and golden. The nutritional profile of both the varieties is almost the same. Flaxseeds are rich in vitamins, minerals, omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants. It is high in B complex vitamin, manganese and magnesium.
