Les r\u00e9sultats de l\u2019\u00e9tude sont publi\u00e9s en ligne aujourd\u2019hui dans Menopause, la revue de la North American Menopause Society (NAMS). Les probl\u00e8mes de sommeil et de fonction sexuelle sont fr\u00e9quents chez les femmes au milieu de la vie. Plus de 26 pour cent des femmes de la quarantaine \u00e9prouvent des sympt\u00f4mes de sommeil importants qui r\u00e9pondent aux crit\u00e8res de l\u2019insomnie, et les probl\u00e8mes de sommeil sont signal\u00e9s par pr\u00e8s de la moiti\u00e9 des femmes pendant la transition de la m\u00e9nopause. Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 43 % des femmes signalent des probl\u00e8mes sexuels au cours de la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode de leur vie.<\/p>\n<p>Plusieurs \u00e9tudes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9es pour d\u00e9terminer s\u2019il existe une association entre les probl\u00e8mes de sommeil et de fonction sexuelle. Cependant, la plupart des \u00e9tudes pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes n\u2019ont pas \u00e9valu\u00e9 syst\u00e9matiquement le dysfonctionnement sexuel avec des outils valid\u00e9s, ni d\u00e9fini le dysfonctionnement sexuel par la pr\u00e9sence de probl\u00e8mes sexuels associ\u00e9s \u00e0 la d\u00e9tresse. Dans cette \u00e9tude portant sur plus de 3 400 femmes (\u00e2ge moyen, 53 ans), les chercheurs ont \u00e9valu\u00e9 les associations potentielles entre la qualit\u00e9 et la dur\u00e9e du sommeil et la fonction sexuelle \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019outils valid\u00e9s apr\u00e8s avoir pris en compte les facteurs qui peuvent influer sur les deux r\u00e9sultats. Ils ont conclu que la mauvaise qualit\u00e9 du sommeil, mais pas la dur\u00e9e du sommeil, \u00e9tait associ\u00e9e \u00e0 de plus grandes chances de dysfonction sexuelle f\u00e9minine. Ces deux probl\u00e8mes courants de la quarantaine ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9termin\u00e9s \u00e0 nuire \u00e0 la qualit\u00e9 de vie d\u2019une femme.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Cette \u00e9tude met en \u00e9vidence une association entre la mauvaise qualit\u00e9 du sommeil et le dysfonctionnement sexuel.
