El t\u00e9rmino Pranayama ha sido constituido por dos palabras: Prana + Ayama. Prana es la fuerza vital que impregna todo el cosmos. El prana es m\u00e1s sutil que el aire y se puede definir como la esencia energ\u00e9tica que est\u00e1 dentro de todo en el universo. Prana es el principio de desarrollo y sustento tanto de los tejidos nerviosos y celulares del cuerpo como de la mente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el proceso de respiraci\u00f3n cuando se inhala el aire de Prana, se produce una acci\u00f3n definitiva. Uno est\u00e1 relacionado con la ingesti\u00f3n de ox\u00edgeno en los alv\u00e9olos y el otro con la ingesti\u00f3n de la energ\u00eda nerviosa en el sistema cerebral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ayama significa controlar o dar un ritmo o un flujo definido. En este sentido, pranayama puede definirse como un proceso y t\u00e9cnica a trav\u00e9s del cual se puede estimular y aumentar la energ\u00eda vital: y esto produce un control perfecto sobre el flujo de Prana dentro del cuerpo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>BENEFICIOS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>El que practica Pranayama tendr\u00e1 un buen apetito, alegr\u00eda, figura hermosa, buena fuerza, coraje y entusiasmo, un alto nivel de salud, vigor y vitalidad y buena concentraci\u00f3n de la mente. Pranayama es bastante adecuado para los occidentales tambi\u00e9n. Un yogui mide el lapso de su vida no por el n\u00famero de a\u00f1os, sino por el n\u00famero de sus respiraciones. Puede tomar una cierta cantidad de energ\u00eda o Prana del aire atmosf\u00e9rico junto con cada respiraci\u00f3n. La capacidad vital es la capacidad mostrada por la mayor cantidad de aire que un hombre puede inhalar despu\u00e9s de la exhalaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s profunda posible. Un hombre toma quince respiraciones en un minuto.
